Do you need to say more than fits on the face of your product label? Try an expanda-label, one that folds out into multiple panels. You'll get much more than first meets the eye.

They may prove a better method for getting your message across than a package insert.
Blue Ribbon is one of the few companies in the nation to produce these special labels. Let's discuss how they might be useful to your business. |
Accordion-fold |
|
Accordion-fold labels are terrific for such things as coupons, recipes, directions for use, rebate certificates, or other kinds of additional information to go along with your product.

Product hang tags and baggage tags
Blue Ribbon produces product hang tags and baggage tags, from concept and art through string insertion.
Baggage Tags
We have particular expertise in cruise line baggage tags. The colors of embarkation tags indicate decks of the cruise ship. If the tag should somehow become separated from the baggage, there's still help for getting the bag to the correct destination: each ship of a cruise line has a different color of elastic string for its tags.
Embarkation Tags
Embarkation tags assure that passengers' bags arrive at their cabins. To prevent tags from tearing, Blue Ribbon has created special rip-resistant tags, coupling a unique design with super-durable materials. The no-rip tags are shorter (less to get caught on equipment), have shorter strings (ditto) and are made from a thicker paperboard.

The metal reinforcing eyelet is placed on a strip of reinforcing plastic that runs across the tag's top. This final step makes it almost impossible for the tag to get torn off accidentally. The minimal increase in cost is well worth the savings on customer aggravation.
Product Tags
They are tags that are attached to the neck of a bottle or jar for the added benefit of receipts, coupons, special promotions, additional products, information of direction for use.

Embossing |
| In response to customers concerned about their labels being counterfeited by unscrupulous knock-off artists, we developed the capability of providing embossed labels, printed in roll form. Formerly, this had been impossible for roll-form labels. Our die-maker has developed a way to retrofit the press with male and female dies. This allows us to emboss labels at press speed. The embossing can be a background pattern, a raised company name or logo, or other design. There is a one-time charge for the special dies but no increase in the ongoing charge for the labels themselves. While embossing does not make duplication impossible, it makes it more trouble than it’s worth. It can also add an elegant look to your label. |
| |
Hot stamping |
| Elegance and attention-getting shine are the result of hot stamping. Actual gold leaf (foil), through a heat process, is transferred to the label. The gold is used in place of a traditional ink. Hot stamping can be used on any label material. Consider this special look when you want that touch of class. |
| |
Holograms |
| Add a whole new dimension to your labels—use a hologram! Holograms offer a format for extra-special labels with eye-catching appeal. Passing them, the customer is caught by a sense of movement and is likely to give a second look. Now the focus is on your product, exactly where you want it. Holograms are also perfect for creating a line of collectible premiums. Holograms also have a lot to offer as an anti-counterfeiting measure, since they are not easy to copy; they add enough difficulty to label reproduction to discourage knock-offs. |

Thermal imprinting |
| Food labels need a coating to keep looking clean and attractive after the filling/shipping/handling process. But varnishes traditionally do not accept print. Blue Ribbon worked with its vendors to come up with a varnish that allows the thermal transfer imprint to lay down ON TOP OF a varnish coating. This amazing break-through varnish is resistant to smudges, abrasionions and chemicals. |
| |
Bar Code Labels |
| |
| Sequential or randomly numbered, bar codes play a major role in today’s product distribution and sales. Sequentially numbered bar code labels have a host of applications, from asset tracking and inventory control to pallet identification and security. Blue Ribbon offers bar code labels ranging from those for everyday office use to those for the harshest of environments. Pre printed bar code labels include consecutive numbering, color, graphics, and specialty materials. |
| |
On-package coupons |
| Coupon labels offering instant rebates on products are great product movers. Attached to the package, the labels are either perforated or held on through static cling. The coupon can easily be removed by the customer for immediate use at the checkout counter. Another way to give customers instant coupons is to use an elastic string tag. |
