Opened in 1980, Blue Ribbon Tag & Label Corp. is the largest manufacturer of pressure-sensitive product labels in South Florida, with more than 40 employees. We are a GMP facility, producing pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic labels in compliance with FDA requirements. Owners Bob Schwartz and Dino Ferreiro have hands-on roles in the company, Bob as lead salesperson and Dino as head of Production.
At Blue Ribbon, we have a press for every job from narrow to wide web, and from 5 to 8-color capability. We also have everything else we need for your label order under one roof: a highly creative art staff, digital plate-making equipment, and a warehouse for storage of raw materials and finished products. This allows us to meet deadlines quickly and with the quality our customers have come to depend on.
The high level of customer service stems from our ability to problem-solve with clients. It has won awards for Blue Ribbon over the years, including “Vendor of the Year” from SmithKline Beecham Animal Health and from American Greetings.
Our Art Department has always been an outstanding feature of Blue Ribbon service. Using top-of-the-line equipment, our artists have the tools to design great labels.

Blue Ribbon’s main facility is in Hollywood, Florida, at the crossroads of a thriving international business community. A second Blue Ribbon factory, with 15 employees, is located in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

Label “Touch Me”
This is a label that works in several steps. When is touched, the superior ink layer disappear, revealing what have been printed in the inferior layer. The reaction, activated by the heat, can be used to announce specials for products, to prevent labels falsification, or simply for fun. The thermochromic inks have many creative uses. Digital Plate-Making
In an attempt to stay at the cutting-edge of their field, Blue Ribbon Tag & Label established a digital plate-making department, one of the first of its kind in Florida. Digital plate-making allows the company to go right from the label design process directly to the computerized plate maker. This step eliminates the unnecessary lag time of traditional methods and increases overall plate creation accuracy. Digital plate-making also eliminates the need for costly film and chemicals and reduces the upfront cost to its customers. In addition, the digital process allows the “dot gain” to be computer manipulated to effect a better plate… thus a better label. |
